THE GOSPEL AND THE LIGHT RAIL

There we were again, the “mature” ladies of Severn Covenant Church and yours truly. We had joined ranks to bring the gospel to those at the Light Rail, in early April. Bracing against the cold breeze, we prayed and set out on our mission. What JOY to see these dear saints pursuing the lost with passion and faith!!!!

There was Kenny, sitting in his taxi-cab, just waiting for a customer. We struck up a conversation and I asked him, “Are you good enough to go to Heaven?” Surprisingly, he quickly said, “No.” Rare. Most folks want to justify themselves. Not Kenny. As I listened to him (in our training we teach that evangelism is a conversation, not a presentation), it became clear that Kenny was a broken man. With tears, he acknowledged his sin before God and his desire to change. By the end of our conversation, Kenny was calling out to Jesus to save him.

Well . . . I spoke with him two days later. Know what he said? “Sir, since you talked with me, my life has been changed.” We’re expecting him at our church service soon. Please pray for Kenny.

Question: HOW MANY KENNY’S ARE AROUND US EVERY DAY? Please, please, our friends, heed the command of Jesus to go into the world and preach the gospel to all creatures. If you need training, call us. We’ll help you.
