A Divine Appointment with Tony

Linda and I were enjoying a subway tuna sub at Arundel Mills Mall. The cleaning man, stopped me to let me know where I could throw our trash. That started a wonderful conversation, in which I gave him a (guess what?) million dollar bill. As we were talking about his eternal well being, he stopped me and said something like, “Wait, I think I met you before–at the Light Rail at Cromwell Station. He described what he remembered (me giving him a tract, urging him about his salvation, writing his name down). I called Linda over and we marveled at God’s great love and grace toward Tony Reyes! We preached the gospel to him, begged him to consider his eternal well being, and invited him to Sunday church service. I wrote his name and phone number in my little notebook. As Linda continued proclaiming Jesus to him, I looked back in my notebook, and sure enough, his name and phone number were already there (from 3 months ago)! I showed him. He was impacted. You see, Tony has spent 27 years of his 49 years in prison. He just got out a few years ago. Oh, God is so good. He loves sinners. He loves Tony. I am not one iota better than Tony!

Please pray for Tony’s conversion as we will seek to stay in touch with him.
