Is It Right To Be Motivated By Judgment to Come?

2 Corinthians 5:10-11—  “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive the things done in the body,  according to what he has done,  whether good or bad.  Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men . . .”

God used the apostle, Paul, to pen the most eloquent words ever written about love—1 Corinthians 13.  Of course, Paul was motivated by love.  He had the bruises and scars on his body to prove it.  He literally gave his life and his body for the love of His God and the love of the people to whom he preached.  Yet, this same Paul knew that certain judgment was coming.  He knew beyond the shadow a doubt that every single person who was not redeemed by the blood of Christ would face eternal, horrific torment in a fiery hell.  And, this motivated him to persuade men.

What about you?  You say you believe the same.  Do you really?  Do you believe it so much that you are filled with urgency to go and tell them before it’s too late?  Please, please, please pray and ponder.  Ask the living God to convince you and then act accordingly.
